The goal of this project was to design a kiosk interface for a sneaker store that not only helped users select the right shoes but also reduced the anxiety often associated with sneaker shopping. As one of my earlier projects, the focus was more on user research and functionality rather than visual design. The interface had a minimal aesthetic, drawing inspiration from brands like Off-White, and was designed to emulate the intuitive experience of a McDonald’s kiosk, but tailored for sneaker shopping.

The kiosk is designed to be simple and intuitive, offering features similar to most sneaker websites while seamlessly integrating in-store interactive elements. Options like Call for Staff, Try On, and Checkout provide unique in-store capabilities that go beyond the typical online shopping experience. Personalisation works hand-in-hand with staff assistance, making the sneaker search more efficient and user-friendly. This project enhances the in-store sneaker shopping experience and aims to reduce anxiety for those who find shopping stressful. I can genuinely see technology like this becoming a staple in stores everywhere someday.
